Creating a wish
You must be a registered user to create a wish. Go to your profile page and click on the blue “Make a wish” button or the “➕” in the app. Then fill out the wish card: enter a name, add a photo, paste a link to the product, specify the price, and add a comment if necessary. You can also try entering just the link and try to recognize it—this will work with most popular stores. Ohmywishes will automatically fill in the name, description, price, and add an image.
Why aren’t all links recognized?
The auto-fill function via link depends on the operation of the site from which the information is read. It also happens that the site tries to intentionally block the reading, confusing the application’s request with the work of spam bots. You can help our service by writing to the store with which you have a reading problem and send them a link to this page. In this way, the store will be able to improve its work with us and the problem will be solved.
Who will know that I have created a wish?
When you create a wish, your friends in the application receive notifications by default. Notifications are not sent in 4 cases:
- If your wish is private.
- If you have turned off the function of sending notifications about your new wishes in the notification settings.
- If your friend has turned off the function of receiving notifications about new wishes of friends in the notification settings.
- If in the notification settings your friend has enabled the setting to receive notifications about new wishes only from those friends who have a birthday soon, and the date of your birthday in the profile is not in the range of the next 30 days.
Quickly adding a wish from other applications
The installed Ohmywishes app on iOS and Android platforms allows you to save a wish via a link from other apps through the “Share” menu—just click on the corresponding link in another app and select Ohmywishes from the list. The link will open in Ohmywishes, where we will recognize the link and fill in the wish information. After filling out and editing, the wish can be saved to your profile.
Quickly add a wish from your browser
Using the Google Chrome browser extension, you can add new wishes to your Ohmywishes wishlist directly from the product page open in your tab, by clicking the save icon that will appear to the right of the address bar.
