Ohmywishes was created as a wishlist service that can be used all over the world without any restrictions.
Regions
In Ohmywishes, a region refers to a local showcase of gift ideas in the ‘Ideas’ section. Users can view selections of products and services from our editors that are suitable for purchases or adding to a wishlist in a specific country. These will be ideas with links from local brands, stores, and marketplaces.
For example, if you select the ‘Germany‘ region, we will show you gift ideas that are most suitable for our users in Germany, taking into account their tastes and preferences, as well as fast delivery from local online stores.
Languages
The interface of Ohmywishes apps and website is translated into many languages. The difference between language and region is most noticeable when looking at selections in the ‘Gift Ideas‘ section: the language only concerns the Ohmywishes interface, but not the ideas themselves, which are always published in the language spoken by the majority of users in the region.
For example, if you select the Japanese interface language but leave the region as “Global“, Ohmywishes will be fully translated into Japanese, with the exception of the idea selections in the “Gift Ideas” section—these will remain in English.
Currencies
Almost all goods and services within ideas and wishes in Ohmywishes have a cost. To make Ohmywishes convenient for users in different countries, we offer support for various currencies.
You choose the currency separately for each new or edited wish in your wishlist. It does not change or convert to another currency for you or other users, depending on the selected language or region. Even within the same wishlist, items with different currencies can be created.
